SHO Time for World Finals
Can you say SHO? Rius Racing along with a skilled team of mechanics, engineers, and core staff lead to the success of the Rius Yamaha SHO. Rius Racing would like to thank the chief mechanic Joshua Paddock, Mistie Schoney, Les and Scott of Sea Doo Centers of Australia, LC Engineering, Pierrottech of France, Patrice, Jean Michel, Cami, Adeline, Gilles, Martine Rius, Franck and countless others that helped to bring the Yamaha SHO into the spotlight. We would like to thank the sponsors for the support: Yamaha, SMPI etablissement of France, Oakley, Wiseco, Dasa Racing, One Helmets, Quakysense, and Crankworks .
The devotion of the team gave us the holeshots. Many sleepless nights and a lot of Starbucks kept the team going to make the Rius Yamaha SHO happen. If you were there you know we were HOT out of the start. In the qualifier Rius had a minor mechanical malfunction when a hose blew from the intercooler. Luckily we had finished the laps needed to go onto the main event. During Moto 1 we encountered a steering issue and placed 4th! During the break between motos we made some changes to the system in order to try to correct the problem. We took the holeshot, AGAIN, Rius was two bouys ahead of the competition Kawasaki’s when disaster stuck-steering cable broke. Of course Rius Racing wanted the title, but we proved that it could be done! We could not have done it without any one single member of the team. A special “Thanks” to all involved!
